How long does surfacing take?

Patch repairs usually take just a few hours. And we can lay small driveways or pathways in 1-2 days when using a fast-setting material like resin.

Larger roads, car parks and commercial surfaces can take a week or more. And expansive highway works often take several months to complete.

We always aim to minimise disruptions, complete works efficiently and meet your schedule.

Do I need planning permission?

Resurfacing and repair works generally don’t require any planning permission. And we can carry out many other projects without worrying about approval.

But if your works affect drainage or underground services, cause extensive disruptions, or take place in a conservation area, chances are you’ll need planning permission.

What surfacing materials do you use?

You can choose from a range of durable, high-quality surfacing materials including:

  • Asphalt: Ideal for roads and larger areas due to its strength and longevity
  • Tarmac: Quick to lay and cost effective, commonly used for driveways and car parks
  • Resin: Resin-bound and resin-bonded surfaces are popular for decorative driveways and pathways
  • Concrete: Extremely durable and suitable for heavy-use areas like loading bays

As well as surfacing materials, we also offer a wide range of recycled aggregates for the sub-base layer.

When do I need resurfacing?

Regular maintenance significantly extends the lifespan of your road surface, footpath or driveway.

But it’s recommended that you arrange professional resurfacing if you notice:

  • Cracks or potholes forming
  • Water pooling or poor drainage
  • Surface wear from weather or heavy use
  • Fading colours or shedding aggregate

Even if you don’t notice any surface wear or drainage issues, you should also schedule resurfacing if your driveway is more than 10 years old.

This is an affordable way to get the most out of your surface while avoiding the cost of full replacement.

Are your services environmentally friendly?

We take great care to limit our environmental impact without increasing costs. That’s why we use high-quality recycled aggregates from local quarries and construction sites.

Any waste generated from our projects is also taken to our Environment Agency-registered recycling centre near Benson, Oxfordshire. We then turn it into recycled aggregates like capped layer material 6F2 for sub-base drainage or type 1 recycled concrete for driveways and footpaths.

By recycling as much quality material as possible, we reduce our carbon footprint and help you reach your environmental goals affordably without compromising stability or durability.
